- The FEI appoints the Foreign Judge for each event who
will also act as President of the Ground Jury for all World Cup Competitions.
- The Course Designer must be chosen from the FEI list of
International Course Designers and be approved by the FEI.
World Cup Sub-Committee
- The World Cup Sub-Committee Arab League consists of the following

- The Committee will hold at least
one meeting per year where representatives of all Group VII NFs will be invited
to attend.
Participation
- The Arab League consists of a minimum of three and a
maximum of twelve World Cup events per season.
- A country cannot organize more than three World Cup
competitions in a World Cup season.
- World Cup dates must be submitted to the FEI World Cup
office before October 1st the year prior to the season commencing.
- Invitations for the World Cup
Competitions must be extended to include at least 50% Foreign Arab League
riders.
- The
host NF may invite additional Foreign non League riders to take part in the
CSI-W. All riders must be entered by their NFs for the CSI-W.
- In addition to the Arab League
riders and non-Arab League riders invited for all the competitions of the
CSI-W, the host NF may also invite additional riders who are permitted to take
part in the small competitions only each day.
Qualifying Competition
for the World Cup Competition
- One Qualifying Competition
per event is held before each
World Cup competition.
- This competition is run according to the following conditions
:

The number of riders permitted
to participate in the Qualifying competition for the World Cup competition is open.
·
This competition must be open to
all Foreign Arab League riders invited to the CSI-W.
·
The number of horses allowed per
rider for this competition is two.
·
When a rider takes part with
more than one horse in the Qualification competition for the World Cup
competition, the horse with which the rider wishes to qualify for the World Cup
competition must be declared to the Ground Jury. The rider must ride this horse
first.
·
Once the competition has begun, a rider can not change his
World Cup horse.
·
This competition must be run under Table A, competition
against the clock, according to either Art. 238.2.1 or Art. 238.2.2, with a height
of 1.40m and a speed of 350 m/min.
·
There can only be individual classification in this
competition.
World Cup Competition -
Arab League
- The World Cup competition is
open to the top 25 placed riders in the Qualifying competition, provided they were
not eliminated or retired.
- Only one horse per rider is allowed in this competition.
- If the home country does not have a rider among the top
25 qualified riders, the highest placed home-rider in the qualifying
competition may compete in the World Cup competition as an extra rider bringing
the starting field to 26. If there is a home rider among the top 25, the number
of riders in this competition is limited to 25.
- If non Arab League Riders have
participated in the Qualifying competition the number of riders eligible for
participation in the World Cup competition will be increased until the 25th
Arab League Rider is qualified at all times.
- If one or more qualified
rider(s) decide(s) not to participate, the next best placed competitor according
to the result of the Qualifying competition may take his place, providing that
the competitor concerned has not been eliminated or has retired in the
qualifying competition. Such replacements are allowed until two hours before
the start of the World Cup competition.
- If the best placed competitor,
according to the results of the qualifying competition, is a non Arab League
Rider, both this competitor and the next best placed Arab League Rider will be
eligible for participation in the World Cup competition.
- Riders
qualified for this competition can participate with the horse of their choice.
- The
World Cup competition is run according to the following formula :

Over a two round competition with the first round not
against the clock and the second round against the clock, Art. 273.3.3. The top
25% of competitors on points from the first round, in any case all clear rounds,
qualify for the second round based on their penalties in the first round. Those
not qualified for the second round are placed according to their penalties in
the first round.
·
Classification will be according to Art.273.4.3.
- If the World Cup
competition takes place on the 2nd day of a 3 day event, the riders
will be allowed to enter the Grand Prix or a smaller competition on day 3 with
the World Cup horse.
- If the World Cup competition is the Grand Prix on day 3,
day 1 should include a competition with obstacles of approximately 1.35 m in
height.
- Each World Cup competition is run at a minimum speed of
350m/min. The height of the obstacles can be anything between 1.40m and 1.60m.
The spread must be proportional to the height and not more than 2m. If there is
a water jump, it cannot be wider than 4m outdoor.
- The starting order in the first round of the World Cup
competition is according to the reverse order of classification in the
Qualifying competition. Competitors replacing those that have withdrawn from
the World Cup competition start according to their reverse order of
classification in the qualifying competition.
Points
- World
Cup points are awarded to competitors only (not competitor/horse combination)
for each World Cup competition. Depending on the number of participants, points
are awarded to the competitors in accordance with the World Cup rules.
- Points may not be carried over from other Leagues. Only
points earned at World Cup competitions held in Arab League countries will
count. The calendar of events will be FEI approved. Dates must be received by
the FEI by October 1st the year before the season commences.
- Scale of points
will be decided according to the FEI formula as laid down in Art. 656.4.
- Points won by competitors who are tied are added and
divided equally. Fractions of .5 or more are rounded up, fractions less are
rounded down.
- If there are less than 16 riders starting the initial
course, the scale of points will be reduced according to the points system
established in Art. 656.4 of the FEI Rules.
- Results that count towards the qualification for the
Final will follow the scale suggested in Art.656.7 and 656.7.1 of the FEI
Rules.
Qualification For The
Final
- The number of riders qualified for the Final from the
Arab League will be two. There will be substitution to fourth place in the Arab
League Overall Standings.
FEI
Calendar, Franchise, and Organization Fees
- Each NF will be invoiced by the FEI a Calendar Fee of CHF
500.- once the date is entered in the calendar whether the event is held or
not.
- The FEI Franchise Fee per World Cup event is CHF 2’000.-.
- The FEI Organization Fee is tabulated according to the total
prize money offered for all the international classes at each event and as
follows for the 2005/2006 season :
- 4.5% on amounts up to CHF 149’999.-.
- 4.0% on amounts between CHF
150’000.- and 249’999.-.
- 3.0% on amounts between CHF
250’000.- and 499’999.-.
- 2.5% on amounts between CHF
500’000.- and 799’999.-.
- 2.0% on amounts between CHF
800’000.- and 999’999.-.
- 1.0% on amounts above CHF 1’000’000.-.

The FEI fee must not be deducted from the Prize Money
declared in the Schedule.
